Hanging Button Blanket I

We had a gift exchange at the NCC (Native Canadian Center) this year for Christmas. I made 3 miniature hanging button blankets as gifts for it. This is one of the three featuring Eagle. The blankets measure 14" X 23". They were designed, hand cut, hand stitched, and hand made all by myself.

Website update- Film conent

I created a section in my website just for my film production. While I'll post some of the work from time to time on my blog, my website will have the best complied and archived content.

Hand Turkey

I was tagged in a very large on-line meme for Thanksgiving.
Funny thing is, I never got to do one of these as a kid. My friend [who tagged me] finally helped me fill a void in my childhood.
Say "no" to genetically altered food. it's evil and danger waiting to happen.

Life Waters

This was a "series" of images that I never actually finished developing due to the huge amount of work on my plate. Originally, the bear was a commissioned piece. Then, I made a Wolf variation for myself, and after, figured I would make a series of "sacred circle" animals, each with the dominant color and placement on the circle to form a giant rainbow color wheel.
Alas, real life got in the way.
And since I don't think I'll be getting back to the idea anytime soon, I figured I could post these three to let everyone have a look. :)
No, the animals aren't "puking"... it's life-water that's coming out of them. The essence of their beings.

Ocelotl and the Village Girl

An illustration of my favorite love story, and one of my favorite legends ever; "Ocelotl and the Village Girl" (also known as "The Story of Ocelotl" or "Ocelotl and the Parrot Queen". Aztec origin).
I have a lot of images based on this story. Can't help but keep drawing them. :)

By the firelight

I haven't had time to go back to carving wood masks as I used to when I was out West. Primarily becuase I do not have a workbench or vice that aid in stabilizing the wood while hollowing it out. While I'm looking to remedy this very soon, it hasn't stopped me form designing masks at all.
Designed here, a Bat and a Fox.
I've finished the blue prints for the bat mask- that will probably be the first or second one I will carve when I get my bench.
